12-hour Bandh affects normal life in Talcher, Odisha

Normal life was thrown out of gear during a 12-hr bandh called by Talcher Suraksha Manch over a four-point charter of demands. The supporters of Talcher Suraksha Manch were moving in group to various places to make the bandh successful.

Members of the group held banners and placards during the protest and burnt tyres to block the roads. Traffic came to a standstill  because of the bandh. Shops, schools and offices remained closed.

The commuters had a tough time, as they could hardly move anywhere during this scorching heat. Many of them were left stranded at bus stops.
