12-hour Sundergarh bandh over toll collection on Biju Expressway

ONI Bureau:  Normal life was affected across Sundergarh district today due to a dawn-to-dusk bandh called by Sundergarh Nagarik Committee protesting toll collection on Biju Expressway.

All government offices, schools, colleges, shops and business establishments have remained closed. Buses, trucks and other vehicles also have stayed off the roads.

Worth mentioning, toll collection on Biju Expressway between Sambalpur and Rourkela is being opposed by the people of Sundargarh as they alleged that they were paying road tax for the expressway since last 17 years on the road which was now renamed as Biju Expressway.
