13 Eminent Odias to be honoured with PRABASI BHASHA SAMMAN-2018

ONI Bureau: PRABASI BHASHA SAMMAN is an initiative by ‘The Intellects’ to felicitate the personalities who have been contributing for promotion of Odia language, culture and tradition.

PRABASI BHASHA SAMMAN for 2018 will be conferred to 13 eminent personalities on 18th February at IIC New Delhi during 4th International Conclave on Mother Language.

Odia author, administrator and academician, Devdas Chhotray to be conferred with Ama Gauraba Sammana.

Prabasi Bhasha Samman awards will be given to Cinematographer Raju Mishra, Sandeep Sahu for Journalism, Dr. BN Patnaik for Language, Sachidananda mohanty for Literature, Kasturi Pattanaik for Odisi Dance, Paramita Satapathy, Dr. Devasisa Jethy for promotion of Odia language, Surjya mani khuntia in field of Odia Translation, Binaya Patnaik for promotion of Odia Language in Odisha and outside the State and for promotion of culture and social issues,

Yuva Prerana Sammana will be conferred to Sagar Satapathy for inspiring young mass in the field of media and Asish Sarangi in the field of social and cultural entrepreneurship.

Similarly, Vivekananda Pathaka Mancha of Keonjhar will be conferred with Best Voluntary Organization award for improving education in rural areas.

The Mother Tongue Conclave or LangFest 2018 will also have youth sessions, display of art and movies from Odisha. It will also celebrate the 4th anniversary of the classical language status to Odisha.This is an attempts to assemble Linguists, Youths, Artists, Actors, Intellectuals and other creative brains to discuss about importance of Mother Tongue in National Capital.

Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will grace the occasion. Chairman of the Intellects Debendra Rout along with other dignitaries and other members of the organisation will be present on the occasion of 4th anniversary of classical status to Odia language and World Mother Tongue Day.
