152 Students at National Law University, Odisha to receive Degrees

NLUOCuttack, Aug 6: The second Convocation of National Law University will be held on Saturday. Around 152 law students of the university will receive their degrees in the presence of President Pranab Mukherjee. The University will organize the convocation function at Odisha Judicial Academy in the city.

Prof. Srikrishna Deva Rao, Vice-Chancellor of National Law University said LLB and LLM degrees would be conferred to 109 and 42 students respectively in the function. He added that this year PhD degree would be awarded to one scholar while three scholars had received last year.

He said that for the first time any president is going to attend the function of the university since its inception in 2008.

President Mukherjee will deliver the convocation address. Governor of Odisha S C Jamir, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Supreme Court judge Justice Dipak Mira and Chief Justice of Orissa High court Justice D H Waghela will attend the Convocation.
