Insight Bureau: The spate of farmer suicides continues in Odisha as two more farmers attempted suicide by consuming poison over crop loss and debt burden in Bolangir district on Friday.
Reportedly, Gupte Rana of Kutumadula village attempted suicide by consuming poison after his cultivated paddy over six acres infested with pest.
Another farmer, Kuda Bag of Siljudnngi village of Titilagarh block, attempted suicide by consuming pesticide allegedly over crop loss and debt burden. He had grown paddy over 2.5 acres and cotton over another 3 acres. Both the crops were attacked by pest.
