2 Peddlers Held; Brown Sugar Seized

During a raid near Sikharchandi area in Bhubaneswar yesterday, Police has seized a total of 28.70 grams of brown sugar from two peddlers. The accused persons have been arrested on charges of selling the contraband and are identified as Sukanta Das of Sishu Vihar and Nazul Islam of Dharmashala.

As per sources, following a tip-off, police conducted a raid near the DLF building in Sikharchandi area and nabbed the two accused while they were waiting to sell the narcotics to the customers. Officials seized 22.65 gram of brown sugar and Rs 2550 from Sukanta and 6.5 gram of the drugs along with Rs 16,500 from Nazul.

A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
