+2 Results declared in Odisha, 76.75% Students Successful

Pradeep-PanigrahiThe Annual Plus Two (10+2) results conducted by Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) have been declared this morning. In total, 76.75% students have cleared the exams in all Science, Commerce and Arts streams.

Higher Education minister Pradip Panigrahi announced the results at the State Secretariat in Bhubaneswar at 10 AM in the presence of CHSE Prof. Basudeb Chhatoi and secretary, Higher Education, Gagan Kumar Dhal.

Out of 2,30,232 Arts students, 1,75,719 have cleared the examination with a pass percentage of 76.31. In Science, the pass percentage is 80.31%. 75,434 students out of 93,920 have passed the examinations. In Commerce, 22,391 out of 32,226 students have passed with a pass percentage of 69.48.

Girls defeated the Boys by a huge margin in Arts. 81.49% girls cleared the exams, while only 70.16% boys sailed through. In Science, Girls (83.23%) emerged ahead of Boys (78.51%). In Commerce, Girls made the boys bite the dust with a margin of 75.67% – 66.80%.

While Nayagarh district has topped the +2 Arts results with 87.92%, Rayagada district performed lowest at 61.08%. In Science, Baleswar district came on top with 92.60%. Jharsuguda district is at the lowest with 67.96%. In Commerce, Phulbani has topped the results with 85.05 percent while Deogarh has the lowest result with 32.78 percent.

While 15,231 students have secured first division in Arts, 18,459 students have secured first division in Science and 3326 students have secured first division in Commerce.

The results booklets are available in the CHSE headquarters office at Bhubaneswar, Baripada, Brahmapur, Sambalpur and JKBK College, Cuttack.
