2019 LS Polls: Odisha CEO seeks Preparations Details from Collectors

The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Odisha, Surendra Kumar, on Monday sought detailed information from the District Collectors across the state regarding the preparedness for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

In a letter to all the Collectors, Kumar asked them to provide the booth wise estimated expenditure towards the tour of the polling parties and security.

The Collectors have been asked to provide detailed reports about infrastructure requirement for conducting free and fair elections in the state.

Besides, the CEO has also informed the Collector about the use of Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
