5 lakh Migrants return to Odisha

As per official sources, a total of 5.53 lakh Odia migrants have returned to Odisha so far. 3635 Odia people returned to the state on Tuesday. So far, 5,53,945 Odias have returned to Odisha, the official said. The number of COVID-19 positive cases stands at 4163 in the state. 2,974 persons have already recovered while the active cases are 1,175. 11 persons have died of the disease.

Odisha had tested 205501 samples until Tuesday at 17 laboratories in 10 districts. According to officials, a drive had been launched to identify personnel with COVID-19 symptoms. The drive will continue till 31st July when ASHA and ANM workers would make door-to-door visits in both rural and urban areas. They will inform the officials concerned, and steps would be taken immediately for collection and testing of samples.
