5 Odisha Players find place in Indian Women’s Hockey Team

The Hockey India (HI) on Friday announced the 20-member Indian Women’s Team for the Spain Tour starting from June 12.

As many as five players from Odisha- Deep Grace Ekka, Lilima Minz, Sunita Lakra, Anupa Barla and Namita Toppo have been selected in the national women’s hockey team for the tour.

The team will be led by ace striker Rani while Goalkeeper Savita will take charge of the Vice Captain.

The visiting team will play five matches against the Spanish National Team. The tour signifies a lot as the Indian team will play the Hockey Women’s World Cup in London in July 2018.Squad:
