Over 50 Congress Workers from Gaisilat join BJD

ONI Bureau: The ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has received a major boost ahead of Bijepur Bypoll, as over 50 Congress workers including Phiringimala Sarapanch Tikenani Sahu and Samiti Member Swarnalata Nanda from Gaisilat block joined the party.

The induction programme took place in the presence of CM Naveen Patnaik. The BJD Prsident welcomed the new members and said it would strengthen the Biju Janata Dal in Bijepur further.

Earlier, BJD’s official candidate from Bijepur, Rita Sahu had met CM Naveen Patnaik and confirmed that she would file the nomination papers on February 5. Bijepur bypoll will be held on February 24. Counting will be held on February 28.
