65th State Athletics Championships begins in Odisha
ONI Bureau: The 65th State Athletics Championships inaugurated at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on Thursday with an aim to provide sports opportunities to young players in the state.
The Championship that was being organised by the Odisha Athletic Association will conclude on December 30, 2017.
Reportedly as many as 1600 athletes including 200 officials who are taking part in the Championship had to wait for long four hours from 10 am to 2 pm as the Sports Minister Chandra Sarathi Behera reached at the venue very late.
As a result, championship’s inauguration was delayed and some events that took place at night.
