7.4 Magnitude Quake triggers Tremors in Odisha

Quake-OdishaAs the 7.4 magnitude quake hit the Nepal-China border at 12:38 PM IST today, tremors were felt across Odisha, triggering the panic button. People moved out of their houses and offices out of panic. The tremors were felt twice within a gap of few seconds.

Tremors were reported from Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, Sambalpur, Ganjam, Rourkela, Kendrapara and many other areas of the state. There have been no reports of any damages yet. However, people are concerned about their safety because of the frequent earthquakes in the last one month.

According to people, they felt the tremors for around 10-15 seconds. Another tremor was felt after a minute or so.
