73 Anganwadi Workers to be awarded by Odisha Government

73 Anganwadi Workers from Odisha will receive special awards in recognition of their exemplary services in Child Development & related areas under ICDS Scheme. The Integrated child Development Services Scheme aims at holistic development of children (0-6 years) and pregnant and lactating mothers. 

The Awards will be provided at both state and national level. In total, 73 Anganwadi Workers will get State Level Award and two of them will get the National Award. 

For the year 2011-12, 2012-13, 2013-14, six Anganwadi Workers; one from Kandhamal, three from Koraput, one each from Balasore & Puri will get National level Award from the Ministry of Women and Child Development.

Joint Secretary, W & CD Department Rajashree Mohanty has requested all the Collectors for consideration of the nomination for National/State Level Awards for Anganwadi Workers (ICDS Scheme) for the year 2014-15 latest by 31/07/2015.
