As expected, girls yet again left the boys behind in the Class X Matric or Annual HSC Examinations in Odisha. The results were declared this morning by School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra in the presence of Board of Secondary Education (BSE) President Dr. Daskhya Prasad Nanda and Secretary Usha Padhee.
In total, 5,47,408 had appeared in the exam, while 4,91,959 of them have sailed through. The pass percentage has been pegged at 82.56%. Balasore district tops the pass percentage at 91.58%, while Bargarh reported the lowest pass percentage at 72%.
At least 9 districts, including Puri, Khurda, Ganjam, Malkangiri, Kandhamal, Sambalpur, Bargarh have recorded below par results. 100% results have been received from 577 schools. 1,473 students have received A1 Grade (more than 90% marks).
