86 arrested till date in connection with Puri Bandh Violence

ONI Bureau: At least 86 people have been arrested so far in connection with violence during Puri Bandh on October 3, as confirmed by Puri SP Sarthak Sarangi. The violence had occurred in protest against the ‘Dhadi Darshan’ or ‘Queue System’ inside Puri Srimandir.

According to Puri SP, 45 people were arrested by Singhadwara Police, while Town Police arrested 41 people.

“The CCTV footage of locations where violence had erupted, are being examined to identify those involved in vandalism and hooliganism,” Sarangi said.
