Abdur Rehman admits linked to Al-Qaeda & sheltered Kandahar Hijacker

Rehman has been brought to Odisha on Tuesday by the Special Task Force of the Crime Branch police on a 10-day remand.

The Crime Branch sources said, Abdur Rehman has accepted that he is linked to Al Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) and many other terrorist groups. He has also gave shelter to a Kandahar plane hijacker in Cuttack in 1999. Crime Branch police is trying to get more information from Rehman.

He was arrested from Tangi in Cuttack on December 16, last year by the joint team of Odisha Police and Delhi Police Special Cell
