Abhijit Iyer Mitra apologises by Email; House Panel asks him to appear on Oct 23

ONI Bureau:  Journalist Abhijit Iyer Mitra has sought apology for his derogatory remarks, informed Committee Chairman Narasingha Mishra on Thursday.

However, the House Committee rejected apology email/letter of Abhijit IyerMitra and directed DGP, Odisha to produce him before the panel at 11 AM on October 23.

According to reports, a team from odisha police has been stationed in Delhi since last 3 days. But it is not clarified why they have not been abled to arrest him yet.

Earlier, Odisha Assembly House Committee sent notice to Abhijit Iyer to appear before the committee on October 11 in breach of privilege case.
