Actor Udayan Aparajeet, Asrumochan Mohanty join Bhasha Andolan

Udayan Aparajeet, Asrumochan Mohanty-Bhasha AndolanThe Bhasha Andolan in Odisha has entered Day 48 today protesting the failure of  Odisha Government  to add the penalty provision in Orissa Official Language Act 1954. Yet, there has been no response from the state government regarding the penalty provision.

On the 47th day of Bhasha Andolan yesterday, Odia versatile actor and assistant director Asrumochan Mohanty, Kannada film Actor Udayan Aparajeet, noted Cartoonist Kishor Rath and social activist Sukanta Bana took out the silent ‘Black Flag March’.

Actor Udayan Aparajeet, Asrumochan Mohanty -Bhasha Andolan 1 As usual, the march  started from Odisha Assembly and concluded at Madhu Babu’s statue near Governor’s Square in the capital city of bhubaneswar.

Several other prominent members and supporters of Bhasha Andolan, including  Subhas Chandra Pattanayak, Pradyumna Satpathy, Pabitra Maharatha, Tusarkanta Satpathy, Ajay Jena, Ramesh Parida, Asish Behera, Nabakishor Pradhan, Promod dev, Swadesh Das, Madhabananda Bhoi, Abdul Malam, Amaresh Biswal, Gobnd ch. Satapathy, Lalatendu Pradhan, Rajesh Sethi, Manoj Sadangi, Anusaya Acharya, Benudhara Harichandan, Stalin Das, Baikuntha Nayak, Abhijeet Das , Ganesh Parida  and others welcomed the flag bearers at Madhu Babu’s statue .

On behalf of  the Bhasha Andolan,  Pradyumna Satpathy offered gratitude to all participants on the occasion.
