Advocate Murder Case: Odisha Lawyers cease-work, Police arrests Two

Advocates-odishaBhubaneswar, Nov 13: Lawyers in Odisha launched an indefinite cease-work this morning demanding arrest of accused in the Boudh lawyer murder case.

Notably, Hemant Sahu, a lawyer in Boudh and a former block president of BJP, was murdered by some miscreants on Tuesday morning while he was on morning walk in his village Bahira under the Bausuni police station.

Lawyers demanding arrest of criminals decided to cease their work for  indefinite period. The decision was taken at High Court Bar Association office in Cuttack on Thursday.

Meanwhile, in the latest development in the murder case, the Odisha police reportedly arrested two persons in connection with the case on Friday from Raikia area in Kandhamal. They were identified as Duryodhan Sahoo and his mother Kunti Sahoo. As per reports, in 2004, two persons including father Hemant Sahu were murdered in the village over revelry, and the police said to be trying to establish connections in this regard in the murder of Hemant Sahu.
