AIDSO-Bhubaneswar protest against Commercialisation of Education

Bhubaneswar, Sep 29: All Indian Democratic Students Organisation (AIDSO) organized a state level demonstration against commercialisation of education here today. Hundreds of students in a well decorated rally marched through the streets to reach at Lower PMG. A protest meeting was held at Lower PMG under the chairmanship of Akshay Das, state president of AIDSO.

This state level demonstration by students was held in demand to re-introduce of Pass-fail systems in schools without any further delay, abolish of block grant system and appointment adequate number of teaching and non-teaching staff in all educational institutions on permanent basis, appointment of PET, Art & Music teachers in all schools. Students also demanded to implement Justice Verma Commission recommendations for ensuring the security of the girl students. They also urged the state government to increase number of seats in medical colleges.
