AIR launches Odia Language Multimedia Web Radio Service

ONI Bureau: The All India Radio (AIR) has launched an Odia language multimedia web radio service for the Odia diaspora across the globe.

The Internet and App-based service, will feature national and regional news, current affairs, music, programmes based on culture, literature, heritage, tourism and economy, among other topics.

This interactive internet radio is linked to various social media platforms. That would help impart Odia language lessons to the young children of the Odia PIOs and NRIs.

The service was launched by the AIR’s External Services Division (ESD) yesterday on the auspicious occasion of Ratha Jatra.

While the news mostly went unnoticed and unreported yesterday, BJP leader Bhrugu Baxipatra did tweet about it to inform the people.
