Angry Mob lynch a Thief in Bhawanipatna, Odisha

By Rajeev Lochan Rathan, Bhawanipatna, Oct 19: A suspected thief was lynched by irate mob here on Saturday night. A policeman was also critically injured in the incident while trying to save the suspected person from the angry mob.

After getting information about the incident, police rushed to the sport and taken the victim to hospital, where he was declared dead by the doctors.  S.N Satapathy, IIC Town Police Limits, Bhawanipatna started investigation into the matter. The body was sent for postmortem.

ASI Town Police limit, Taranisen Naik said “A policeman was injured in the incident. Barely a few minutes after stripping him, the mob descended on him and the rest became history”.
