Another Robbery in CDA, Cuttack exposes Police Failure

Just eight days after the robbers looted assets worth Rs 10 lakh or more from Retd. Justice PK Mohanty, another group of robbers targeted an Advocate’s house in the same Sector 11 area of CDA in Cuttack in the wee hours of Sunday.

This time, Senior Advocate of Orissa High Court, Ajay Mohanty’s house was targeted. The robbers barged into his house while nobody was at home and left with Rs 1 lakh cash, gold and silver jewellery and other valuables.

Ajay Mohanty is the paternal uncle of Rajya Sabha MP and Ollywood Actor Anubhav Mohanty. A probe has been launched into the burglary, but the latest development yet again exposed the inefficiency of Commissionerate Police and left the common people wondering whether they are safe in the wake of deteriorating law and order in the twin city.
