Aradhana Nrutya Kendra celebrates 7th Annual Day

ONI Bureau: The Aradhana Nrutya Kendra (ANK) situated in Dwarka, New Delhi, celebrated its 7th Annual Day at the Andhra Bhavan Auditorium on Saturday, May 12. The theme of the event was named ‘Nupur’, which got a big boost with women power.

Renowned Odissi Guru Aniruddha Das graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. Young students and children from ANK performed to best of their potential to leave the audience bewitched.

Trained by Guru Aradhana Das Sinha, who basically hails from Odisha, but is settled in Delhi, the Odia & Non-Odia students set the stage on fire with amazing Odissi performance.

Some of the young girls kept performing for multiple songs without a break and proved their mettle. While Class IX student Aashi Kumar was the centre of attraction, thanks to her amazing expressions, stamina and awesome dancing skills, others too did their best and left no stones unturned to make the programme a big success.

Proud mothers of the young girls too performed ‘Dandia’ & ‘Rangabati’. Even a grandfather was part of the performance for which she got a standing ovation. Suhani Sumanta (Khushi), who was not a regular student of ANK, performed ‘Kathak’.

At the end of programme, all participants were awarded mementos and certificates. Guru Aniruddha Das hailed the efforts of ANK & Aradhana Das Sinha and assured his support to the students. Aradhana Das Sinha, the woman behind ANK thanked everyone and also appreciated the efforts of her husband Vineet who stands besides her through thick and thin.
