Ashok Panigrahi named BJP Candidate for Bijepur Bypoll

ONI Bureau: Putting all speculations into rest, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has named Ashok Panigrahi as its candidate for Bijepur bypoll. BJD had also announced three-time Congress MLA late Subal Sahu’s wife Rita Sahu as its candidate.

JP Nadda, Secretary, BJP Central Election Committee has approved the name of Panigrahi. An official notification will be issued tomorrow.

Ashok Panigrahi had quit BJD to join the BJP in October 2017. Congress is yet to declare its candidate for Bijepur bypoll to be held on February 24.
