ASI to take up conservation and maintenance of 3 Monuments in Odisha

ONI Bureau: Union Culture Minister Dr. Mahesh Sharma has informed that the ASI (Archaeological Survey of India) has inspected three monuments in Odisha – Bhringeswara Mahadev Temple at Brajakote (Angul District), Haripurgarh Ancient Fort (Mayurbhanj District) and Kanakeswara Mahadev Temple (Kualo, Dhenkanal District) and decided to conserve and maintain those.

It can be recalled that Union P&NG and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had written a letter to Dr. Mahesh Sharma on May 11, 2018, seeking his immediate attention to these three monuments for their conservation, protection and development.

“Estimated have also been prepared for comprehensive conservation and development of all the three temples and approvals have been obtained. Tenders have bee floated for Bhringeswara Mahadev Temple and Kanakeswara Mahadev Temple. Floating of tender for ancient fort Haripurgarh is in progress. Works on all these temples are expected to begin by December 2018”, Union Minister Mahesh Sharma’s letter said.
