AT Group Chief Pradeep Sethy awarded 5-yr jail term

Insight Bureau:  The Arthwa Tatwa (AT) Group Chief Pradeep Sethy, who is the prime accused in the multi-crore Chit Fund Scam, awarded with five-year imprisonment by the Sambalpur Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court on Wednesday.

Earlier on April 6, the Special CJM CBI court had awarded seven-year jail term to Sethi in connection with the firm’s involvement in chit fund scam.

Again on August, the trial court sentenced Pradeep Sethy to seven years of imprisonment.

There are 11 criminal cases against Sethi in different police stations including three in Bhubaneswar.

Artha Tatwa has reportedly duped people of over Rs 500 crore in Odisha.
