Baijayant Panda exposes ‘Conspiracy’ with Photo Evidence
ONI Bureau: Hours after Derabish Block Chairman opposed the upcoming Sanskruti Bhavan (Kendrapada’s 1st auditorium & Odisha’s biggest ever MPLAD-funded project) saying he was neither consulted nor was taken into confidence, BJD MP Baijayant Panda released photos to expose his “lies”.
The photo taken on May 30, 2016 proved beyond doubt that the Derabish Block Chairman was along with him when he was reviewing the same project. Panda expressed surprise why he he is threatening to disrupt the inauguration to be held on January 24.
Baijayant Panda also released a photo of Kendrapara District BJD President, who is now vocal against him. In the photo, the District President is seen welcoming Jay Panda with a garland in the constituency. He also posted several other pics to prove a point that he took all BJD workers and leaders into confidence while working in the constituency.
While taking a dig at the critics, Baijayant Panda also felt pity on them, saying the “poor guys” are under immense pressure from the “ringmaster”, as they keep getting calls from officials in CM’s office that they will lose their party posts and not get tickets in future if they displease the babu-politician who is now controlling things.
Without taking names, Baijayant Panda lashed out at CM’s Private Secretary VK Pandian in hardest possible terms.

“The ongoing farcical “complaints” against me by block and district level BJD office bearers is an orchestrated campaign conducted by the bureaucrat-cum-politician who has gained nearly total control over our party. Here are photos of some of the “complainants” with me, giving the lie to the claim that I don’t keep in touch with them! These pictures show that not only have I kept in touch with party members, but have also actively involved them in my reviews and inaugurations of infrastructure projects, both MPLAD and others.”
“One of the pics even shows BJD’s Derabish block chairman reviewing along with me the construction of the very same project (Kendrapada’s first large auditorium & Odisha’s biggest ever MPLAD-funded project) which he is now threatening to disrupt!! It saddens me that they can think of obstructing projects which the late Biju babu had conceived/supported and I’m trying to fulfill. I’ve also included a pic of my personal invite letter that all these “complainants” have been sent, as well as hundreds of others (along with phone, SMS, and official follow up).”
“But rather than being angry, I’m just laughing at this hypocrisy, because these poor guys are under immense pressure, getting calls from officials in CM’s office that they will lose their party posts and not get tickets in future if they displease the babu-politician who is now controlling things. Of course, a serving bureaucrat being actively involved in politics is *strictly* forbidden in the service code. I don’t think this chap particularly cares about law and rules, but sooner or later karma has a way of catching up with your misdeeds. But what I’m terribly anguished about is that my leader, whom I’ve assisted, admired & supported for more than two decades, does not seem to be aware of this conspiracy??”
“I even saw a news report that when two senior party colleagues were summoned to meet him regarding their media comments against this bureaucrat-politician, the fellow himself was present! I was contacted by the party’s district observer, whom he has instructed to enquire. I have asked her to send me the “complaints” in writing and i will respond similarly. Fortunately, the immense outpouring of support from my constituents and Odisha’s general public is a great source of comfort and strength to me.”
