Bali Yatra begins amid tight security in Odisha

Celebrations of the week long historic Bali Yatra is all set to commence on Monday evening.

In order to maintain law and order, the Cuttack district administration and Odisha Police has made tight security arrangements in Bali Yatra ground.

As many as 50 platoons of police along with 300 senior officials have been deployed and 30 CCTVs, 35 Aid-posts has been installed to make people hassle free.

To prevent any fire mishap at least four temporary fire sub-stations have been set up and 130 fire brigade personnel have been engaged in these four centres at the Mahanadi river bed in Cuttack.

Bali Yatra is held on the full moon day in the month of Kartik (Kartik Purnima) which is considered to be the most auspicious month out of the 12 months of calendar in Odisha.
