Bangkok-Bhubaneswar Flight Passengers stranded in Kolkata

ONI Bureau:  An AirAsia Bangkok-Bhubaneswar Flight (FD 112) which was supposed to land at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar between11.30 PM and 12 AM last night, wasn’t able to land due to intense fog. The Flight was later diverted to Kolkata.

Although the crew wanted to return the flight to Bangkok, the passengers protested and refused to go back.

The Kolkata Airport authorities, Air Asia management and security personnel had a tough time to calm down the passengers. Later, they decided to hold back the flight in Kolkata.

Over 100 passengers are now stranded at the Kolkata Airport, waiting for the Air Asia flight.

As per latest update, all the passengers have been provided Breakfast and Lunch by the Air Asia flight authorities and the flight will take off at 1:30 PM today.
