Basant Panda slams Odisha Govt on Ration Card and PDS

Odisha BJP President Basant Panda held a press meet in Bhubaneswar for the first time after assuming office and slammed the ruling BJD Government in the state on various issues, mainly on food security and PDS.

Panda sought cancellation of the faulty ration card list and preparation of a new list without any irregularities. He asks BJP leaders and cadres to launch a movement across the state and take the matter to all villages and towns to expose the ruling government. He alleged the large-scale involvement of CM’s associates, Ministers, Bureaucrats and BJD leaders and cadres in the scam.

Basant Panda also spoke about the Re 1 rice scheme, saying the Centre bears Rs 27 per kg while the state government provides just Rs 2, but claims it as its own scheme. “The ruling government is misleading the people on this issue to secure votes. I challenge the government to come up with the facts so that people know the truth,” he said.

The Odisha BJP has released a leaflet on Food Security Act at the press meet and vowed to spread the message across the state.
