Basantpur near Burla confirmed as IIM Sambalpur Campus

The Centre has cleared Basantpur near Burla as the site for the permanent campus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) at Sambalpur. It was confirmed by Odisha Minister of Employment, Technical Education and Training (ETET), Sanjay Dasburma.

In addition, Silicon Institute and Sambalpur University Institute of IT (SUIIT) campus have been confirmed as the temporary campus for IIM Sambalpur. The state government is extending all its support to the centre for finalising the MoUs.

The four-member central team, which visited all sites identified by the state government, has confirmed the above spots. The Centre has recently announced the towns and cities for six proposed IIMs in the country.
