Bhuban Bus Mishap: Two Odisha Energy Dept Officials suspended

Two officials of the Odisha Energy Department were suspended on Tuesday in connection with the Bhuban bus accident.

The two officials SDO Ullas Chandra Nath & Junior Engineer Hrushikesh Das were suspended on charges of negligence in duty.

Notably, six people died and over 20 injured as a moving bus came into contact with 11KV live wire at Bhuban in Dhenkanal district on Tuesday.

However, the Odisha State Electricity Corporation Engineers’ Association (OSECEA) has strongly opposed the dismissal of the two officials and threatened to launch non-cooperation movement from October 1.
