Bhubaneswar Hottest City in Odisha on June 10 at 44 degrees C

HeatwaveCapital city Bhubaneswar emerged as the hottest city in Odisha, as the mercury rose to 44 degrees C here today. This is the highest temperature of this season in Bhubaneswar. The unprecedented heatwave forced the people stay indoors during most parts of the day.

Other Odisha towns – Dhenkanal, Titilagarh, Bhawanipatna, Talcher, Hirakud, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Baripada, Angul, Chandbali and Balasore recorded temperature of 40 degrees Celsius and above.

The heatwave conditions will prevail for two days more. Many parts of Odisha will witness rain and thundershower from June 12 till 15. However, it cannot be called monsoon rains. Monsoon may hit the state after June 22.
