Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation: 6 Croporators apply for Ration Card Cancellation

Bhubaneswar, Jan 2: As many as six corporators of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) have applied for cancellation of their ration cards on Saturday, after their names figured in NFSA list, told Mayor Aananta Narayana Jena.

The Mayor told that a committee has been formed to look after irregularities in the NSFA list of beneficiaries. He told that the committee will continue inquiry into the irregularities in the NSFA list. The state government has drawn flak from all quarters for its failure in listing real beneficiaries under the NSFA.

Six corporators were Samir Pradhan, Premananda Behera, Bharati Singh, Harekrushna Nayak, Basanti Singh and Jhunibala Dei. Notably, the Cuttack Mayor had to step down following having her name in the list NSFA list.
