Bibhu Kanungo appointed as Deputy Governor of RBI

Bibhu Prasad Kanungo becomes the second Odia to be appointed as Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). He replaces R Gandhi.

Kanungo is likely to take charge on April 3 and will serve the post for three years.

He was appointed as the Executive Director of the Central bank of India last year.
