The first and second phase of Panchayat Polls has shown an unprecedented success to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Odisha. Just like “Icing on the cake”, political heavy weights are joining BJP, making the party stronger to stronger for the remaining phases of Panchayat Polls in the state.
On Wednesday, Odisha Jan Morcha Vice-President and political heavy weight of Athagarh, Bibhuti Mishra along with his supporters joined BJP in the presence of Union Minister Dharmendrsa Pradhan at the party’s state office in Bhubaneswar. His close aides- Sankarshan Mahar, Sasrat chndra Parida, and Hrudananda Tripathy also joined the saffron party.
Political pundits believe that Mishra’s inclusion can be a game-changer in Athagarh Politics. He can strengthen the saffron party with his great organizational skills and down to earth public relations. He will be the face of the party in Athagarh region to challenge current BJD MLA Ranendra Pratap Swain.
Addressing to media-persons after joining BJP, Mishra said, “People in our region are unhappy with the Naveen government. Corruption is rampant in every sector. I will work to wipe out BJD Govt from Odisha and form a BJP Govt in our state.”
