Bijepur Congress leader Pranay Sahu quits party
ONI Bureau: The resignation spree in the Odisha Congress continues with the senior Congress leader from Bijepur Pranay Sahu quitting the party. He has tendered his resignation to OPCC President Niranjan Patnaik today.
Pranay Sahu was the Congress candidate in last year’s Bijepur bypoll.
While, Congress legislator Subal Sahu’s widow contested on Biju Janata Dal (BJD) ticket and won by a handsome margin, the Congress’ Pranay Sahu lost his security deposit.
In his resignation letter Sahu mentioned that though he had requested the State unit of Congress to find out the cause behind the defeat of the party in Bijepur by-poll but his requests had not been met.
