BJD identifies 9 issues to be raised in Parliament

ONI Bureau:  Ahead of the upcoming Winter Session of the Parliament which is scheduled to start from December 11, BJD parliamentary board today decided to raise several key issues in the upcoming session including special category status for Odisha.

Other issues like Women’s Reservation Bill, SC/ST scholarship funding pattern change, Mahanadi, Titli cyclone assistance and Polavaram issues will also be raised in both the Houses – Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha during the session.

Some other issues including delay in railway projects, removal of GST on Tendu (Kendu) leaves and first freedom movement status to 1817 Paika Rebellion in Odisha will also be raised.

These decisions were taken at the BJD Parliamentary party meeting held under the chairmanship of party supremo Naveen Patnaik at the Naveen Nivas today.
