BJD lashes out at Dharmendra Pradhan, calls him Corrupt
ONI Bureau: While Union P&NG Minister Dharmendra Pradhan attended the PM LPG Panchayat in Odisha and held video conferencing with the women beneficiaries, BJD Spokesperson Dr. Sasmit Patra lashed out at him, calling it a diversionary tactic from corruption and scam in Ujjwala Yojana as well as rising fuel prices.
Sasmit Patra called Dharmendra Pradhan ‘corrupt’ and ‘liar’ and challenged him to make public the names of those who were involved in Ujjwala scam and clarify the extent to which the scam has taken place, citing the scam in Kendrapara which the Union Minister himself has admitted.
“While Dharmendra Pradhan claims that 30 lakh beneficiaries have received LPG connection under Ujjwala in Odisha, 24 lakh have not refilled their cylinder. The PMUY is turning out to be a big failure, but the Minister is trying in vain to project it as a big success. But, he has been exposed before the people of Odisha,” he added.
The BJD leader also held Dharmendra Pradhan responsible for rising fuel prices in the country, saying the latter focused less on Petroleum Ministry and more on other Ministers’ portfolios due to his political ambitions, putting the entire country in crisis.
