BJD MLA, Workers assault BJP supporters at Manamunda in Boudh Dist

In a shocking development, BJD MLA from Bolgarh-Begunia Prashant Jagdev led a group of BJD cadres to launch a brutal assault on BJP workers who were holding a black flag protest against Minister of State, Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare, Sanjay Dasburma at Manamunda in Boudh district.

Dasburma was going to attend a rally organized by the Youth wing of BJD to protest against the construction work of Mahanadi barrage by the Chhattisgarh government. A group of BJP workers gathered at the spot to protest against the Minister’s visit.

MLA Jagdev and his supporters beat up the BJP cadred black and blue and even dragged them on the ground and kicked at their faces. The BJP leaders lodged an FIR at the police station over the incident. The BJP has strongly condemned the incident and said that BJD has now resorted to brutality and hooliganism to suppress the voice of opposition.
