BJD MP Tathagata Satpathy fights against Air India’s VVIP Culture

Tathagata-SatpathyBiju Janata Dal (BJD) MP from Dhenkanal, Odisha, Shri Tathagata Satpathy fought for a noble cause late last night and brought the Air India Management to its knees by staging a dharna at the IGI Airport, New Delhi. Senior Journalist Rajdeep Sardesai, who was his co-passenger on board Bhubaneswar flight, tweeted the entire events along with pictures.

The drama began when Air India announced the cancellation of New Delhi-Bhopal flight after a long delay due to shortage of Pilots. At the same time, New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Air India was scheduled for departure.

However, Madhya Pradesh Forest Minister Sartaj Singh and two Judges played the spoilsport and forced the Air India bosses to move the Pilots of Bhubaneswar flight to Bhopal flight. The passengers of Bhubaneswar flight protested, but in vain. Then came to picture Mr. Tathagata. He staged a dharna at the departure get forcing Air India Management reverse the decision.

The passengers too supported Tathagata and demanded the Judged of Bhopal flight to be evicted. finally, the issue was resolved and Air India arranged Pilots for both flights. The original departure time for Bhubaneswar flight was 6:30 PM. But, it finally left at 2:30 AM. The tweet of Rajdeep Sardesai went viral on social media with people hailing Mr. Tathagata Satpathy and his crusade and the VVIP culture.

“Proud of fellow Indians who are asking for judges and minister to leave the flight for misusing VIP privilege! Desh badlega!”, tweeted Rajdeep Sardesai, who was a witness to the events unfolded after midnight.
