BJD observes Hartal in 7 Southern Dists today over Polavaram issue

The ruling BJD today observed a hartal in seven districts of southern Odisha protesting national project status to Polavaram.

The seven districts are Nabarangpur, Koraput, Malkangiri, Raygada, Ganjam, Gajapati and Kandhamal.

Party activists staged rail roko at various railway station for four hours and staged hartals near Central Government offices, Banks and various places of the districts in peaceful manner.

Normal life have been disrupted, shops and business establishments remained closed due to dawn-to-dusk hartal in the districts.
