BJD to launch State-wide stir over Fuel Price hike from Sept 7-9

ONI Bureau:  The ruling BJD on Tuesday announced to launch a state-wide strike from September 7 to 9 to protest against fuel price hike.

The party members including members of Biju Yuva Janata Dal, Biju Mahila Janata Dal and Biju Chhatra Janata Dal will organise protest before filling stations across the state during the three days in phase wise manner from 10 am to 12 noon.

The party has blamed the BJP led-Central Government for the price hike in petrol and diesel.

In barely a month, petrol prices have touched a record high of Rs 80 per litre in Nabarangpur & Koraput districts of Odisha. Similarly, in Bhubaneswar petrol price was Rs 77.14 per litre, diesel price was at Rs 74.91 per litre.
