BJD women wing stages dharna against LPG price hike

Insight Bureau: The women’s wing of Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Friday staged demonstration near Raj Bhawan in Odisha capital protesting the Centre’s decision to hike the price of cooking gas (LPG) and demanding immediate withdrawal.

Notably, the price of non-subsidised LPG cooking gas has been hiked by Rs 93 to Rs 742 per bottle. While price of subsidised LPG cylinder hiked by Rs 4.50 per 14.2-kg cylinder to Rs 495.69, respectively from Wednesday.
