BJP Central Team visits Kunduli; Dharmendra seeks CBI Probe

ONI Bureau: A three-member BJP’s Central Team, formed by the order of Party President Amit Shah, has visited Kunduli today to get an on-the-spot report on the turn of events that started with the victim’s gangrape and ended with her suicide.

The team included BJP’s National General Secretary and former MP Saroj Pandey and MPs Jyoti Dhrube and Anju Bala. They went to Musaguda to meet the victim’s family, relatives and other villagers.

Earlier, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan slammed the Odisha Government, saying the state government is trying to shield the accused in this case by trying to destroy all evidences.

Dharmendra Pradhan reiterated his demand for a CBI probe into the case, saying only state government is authorised to recommend it, as the crime took place under the jurisdiction of the state government and criminal case was filed here only. “If the Odisha Government suspects the involvement of central forces in the crime, I dare CM Naveen Patnaik to recommend CBI probe and bring the truth out,” he said.
