BJP, Congress Workers clash in Pipili during Bandh

ONI Bureau: Sporadic incidents of violence have been reported from various parts of the State during Congress’ ‘Odisha Bandh’ and BJP’s Hartal. Several workers and leaders from both parties were detained elsewhere while some people were found in indulging in vandalism and hooliganism.

The BJP and Congress workers clashed near Mangalpur Chhak in Pipili. BJP’s Ashrit Pattnaik injured after being allegedly attacked by former Cong MLA Judhistir Samantaray.

Tension ran high area following the clashes. Heavy deployment of police force has been made to maintain peace and calm.
