BJP draws flak for attack at VK Pandian’s Residence

ONI Bureau: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been criticized by both BJD and Congress as well as various Officers’ Associations for the attack at CM’s Private Secretary V. Karthikeyan Pandian’s residence.

BJD Spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Pratap Deb used strong words to condemn the BJP and asked it whether this is party’s mentality on the basis of which it wants to rule the state. “Physical Attack on a Civil Servant cannot be tolerated under any circumstances,” he said.

Leader of Opposition and Veteran Congress leader Narasingha Mishra too came down heavily on BJP workers and asked the party to refrain from such activities. Twin City Police Commissioner YB Khurania has taken strong exception to the incident and promised stern action against the miscreants.

Meanwhile, the IAS Officers’ Association, IPS Association, OAS Association, OIS Association etc have condemned the attack at VK Pandian’s residence and said this is unacceptable in a civilized society.

Earlier in the morning, a group of BJP workers took the intelligence and cops by surprise when they barged into Pandian’s residence and ransacked the premises by damaging flower pots and vehicles while accusing the officer of ruining Odisha by becoming the Super CM. 5 BJP workers have been arrested so far.
