BJP Mahila Morcha burns effigy of Damodar Rout

Insight News Desk: The BJP Mahila Morcha has burnt the effigy of veteran BJD leader and Odisha Agriculture Minister Dr. Damodar Rout, demanding his public apology and ouster from the Naveen Patnaik cabinet.

The Mahila Morcha workers who had tried to gherao his residence last evening, have vowed to contintue their agitation even though Dama Rout expressed regret over the remarks ‘Swami Chhadi, Anganwadi’, saying he respects women as well as Anganwadi workers and that he only quoted an old Odia proverb to hit back at BJP leader Lekhashree Samantsinghar, who called him ‘Shikhandi’ and Naveen Patnaik ‘Dhritarashtra’.
